Andaz Apna Apna Set Revelations: Shehzad Khan

Rajkumar Santoshi’s 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna, a superhit movie. In contrast to the on-screen bromance between Aamir Khan and Salman Khan’s characters Amar and Prem, the two Bollywood stars reportedly had a fake relationship off-screen, often leading to dissimilitude during the filming. In a recent interview, actor Shahzad Khan discards the differences between Aamir and Salman, ascribing their hits to their specific work procedures.

Shahzad Khan during an interview with Siddharth Kannan, was asked if the rumors of Salman and Aamir not having a good relationship during the shoot of Andaz Apna Apna were true. Shahzad Khan replied and added, “It all happened in front of my eyes. Many times things would occur, Salman is Salman and Aamir is Aamis, I can’t take one name for this. I work as a bridge between them.

Shahzad Khan played a vital role in the film, also doing the work of peacemaker and mediator between Salman and Aamir. One of the prime things of the fight was their timing on set. Aamir is quite popular for his punctuality, he arrived at the Madh Island set by 7-7:30 am, and Salman would arrive much later, around 10-11 am. Shehzad defended Salman, explaining that the distance he had to travel from Bandra made it challenging for him to arrive early.

Shahzad Khan acclaims both actors for their professionalism and the mind-blowing performances they provided. He also said that they had a lot of fun on set, when the producer would bring home-cooked food, making a familiar environment.

Shehzad says that despite Salman’s method of taking several shots, the final performance of Salman and Aamir was admirable. But the performance of both actors was up to make. He also confirms that Salman and Aamir never directly meet each other on set.

Aamir Khan had earlier exposed on Karan Johar’s talk show that he had a bad experience working with Salman Khan, he said that Salman is rude and selfish, which contributed to their fake relationship during the filming of Andaz Apna Apna.
