BMW M2 Second Generation Model Launched in India
BMW M2 India has officially launched the highly anticipated second-generation BMW M2 in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), this two-door high-performance sports car offers exhilarating speed and precision. With a swift acceleration of 0 to 100 KMPH in just 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 285 KMPH, the BMW M2 promises an adrenaline-fueled driving experience like no other.
Enthusiasts can now book their desired variant of the BMW M2, and deliveries will commence shortly. The car is available in two variants, both furnished with cutting-edge automatic transmissions. The petrol automatic variant is priced at Rs 98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the manual transmission variant can be purchased for an additional Rs 1 lakh, bringing the price to Rs 99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The BMW M2 is offered in an impressive range of five captivating colors, including Alpine White Solid, M Zandvoort Blue Solid, Black Sapphire Metallic, M Toronto Red Metallic, and M Brooklyn Gray Metallic. Each color option adds to the car’s overall allure and showcases its dynamic design.
Customers may personalize the sports vehicle
The BMW M2 arrives in India as a fully imported model, offered as a completely built unit. The availability of this high-performance car is limited, adding to its exclusivity in the Indian market. Media reports suggest that a few pre-specced units of the BMW M2 have already been delivered to customers in the country. However, prospective buyers also have the option to customize their M2 according to their preferences and requirements.
BMW M2: Performance
The second generation BMW M2 is equipped with a powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged, 6-cylinder in-line petrol engine. This robust engine produces an impressive power output of 460 HP and a peak torque of 550 NM. It can be paired with either an 8-speed transmission converter automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox, providing drivers with flexibility and control. Similar to the BMW M3 and M4, this engine delivers exceptional performance.
BMW claims that the new M2 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.1 seconds with the automatic gearbox, and 4.3 seconds with the manual gearbox. The car boasts a top speed of 250 KMPH, offering an exhilarating driving experience.
BMW M2: Design and Dimensions
In terms of design, the BMW M2 features an aggressive body kit, reminiscent of the company’s 2 Series coupe models available internationally. The front fascia showcases BMW’s signature frameless horizontal kidney grille, complemented by wide-set headlamps with integrated daytime running lights. The rear of the car boasts a contemporary and operational rear spoiler, a GT-style back bumper, and quadruple exhaust ports. The sporty appearance is enhanced by the 19-inch front and 20-inch rear BMW jet-black alloy wheels. The dimensions of the new M2 measure 4,575mm in length, making it 219mm shorter than the M4 but 114mm longer than its predecessor.
Inside the BMW M2, you’ll find a curved display featuring a 14.9-inch infotainment system with the latest BMW iDrive OS8 and a 12.3-inch instrumentation cluster with M-specific graphics. The car is equipped with the Comfort Access System as standard, along with features such as powered seats with memory function, M seat belts, a Harman Kardon sound system, BMW Connected Package, wireless charging, and the M Shadowline trim.

Buyers have the option to choose seat upholstery in Black or Cognac shades, while BMW M-Sport seats are provided as standard, complemented by aluminum highlights on the dashboard. Additional options include a carbon-fiber roof, carbon-fiber bucket seats, and the M driver package, providing customers with customizable features to suit their preferences and enhance their driving experience.
