Jio is India’s largest telecommunications company. It offers both prepaid and postpaid plans. It is easy to activate a Jio SIM card and begin using Jio’s services. Jio offers both physical SIM cards and embedded Subscriber Identity Modules (eSIM) for smartphones that support them.

The process of activating an eSIM involves a few steps since it is not as straightforward as activating a physical SIM card. To help you activate your Jio eSIM with any of the four manufacturers, here is a step-by-step guide.

What is eSIM?

For voice data and SMS service, we have to insert SIM cards into our mobile phones. This is changing with eSIM. This has added a new dimension to mobile connectivity.

A smartphone’s board contains the embedded SIM chip, known as the eSIM. In a secure digital format, it stores credentials for accessing the mobile network. eSIM is compatible with smartphones, wearables, and computers. In addition, IoT devices are used in medical devices, security systems, connected cars, and point-of-sale systems.
