Recently, Neeraj Chopra claimed the gold medal in the men’s javelin throw at the World Athletics Championships, which was organized in Budapest, Hungary. Neeraj Chopra, the golden boy is the first Indian athlete, who won the gold medal at this prestigious championship and created history.
On 28 August, Neeraj Chopra boosted their career growth, he went through tough competitors from around the world. Displaying singular expertise, he recorded a stellar throw of 88.17 meters in his second attempt, stiffening his superiority through this event.

In his second attempt, Neeraj got a gold medal position with his best throw of 88,17 m. Nadeem, a Commonwealth Games Champion, got a silver medal position with his best throw of 87.82 in his third attempt and Jakub Vadlech got the bronze medal position with his best throw of 88.67.
After the match, Neeraj Chopra, The golden won the gold medal and Nadeem got the silver medal, both shared a hug. Behind this India and Jakub posed in front of the camera with his national flags, it was just like a ritual, and Nadeem was missing in this ritual frame. But the golden boy invited the photographer and took a pose with the Indian flag with a million-dollar smile.
Neeraj Chopra won a silver medal at the World Championship last year and this year he created history by winning a gold medal. Along with these two medals, Anuj Booby George, the last medalist in the 2003 world Championship, got the bronze for the women’s long jump. Now India has all colors of medals.
Neeraj Chopra is the second Indian who won a gold medal in the World Championship. The legendary shooter Abhinav Bindra, was the first Indian to get the Olympics and world title. He won the World Championship title at the age of 23 and at 25, won a gold medal. Along with this, he is also the third javelin thrower, who holds Olympics and World Championships titles at the same time.
At this proud moment, Neeraj’s father Satish Kumar proudly said to the media that,” This is a very proud moment for our country as we get a gold medal in the World Championship as well. We celebrate once Neeraj comes back to India.”
P.M Narendra Modi congratulated Neeraj through social media, and they tweeted that,” The talented Neeraj Chopra exemplifies excellence. His dedication, precision, and passion make him not just a champion in athletics but a symbol of unparalleled excellence in the entire sports world. Congrats to him for winning the Gold at the World Athletics Championships.”
