Kejriwal jailed in liquor scam case, will remain in ED custody till March 28

Sensational news of Kejriwal liquor case : Delhi Chief Minister is seen in the headlines these days, news of a case being registered against him regarding the liquor policy scam has come to light. Since his arrest, Kejriwal has been under strict police surveillance. It has been decided to send him to ED custody till March 28. ED’s statement has given an important turning point in this matter. He has claimed that Kejriwal has a hand in the liquor issue and it is Kejriwal who has committed all these acts and his evil mind is behind hatching this conspiracy. He also has a hand in the movement of funds for the 2022 Goa election campaign.

According to the ED statement, Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal demanded substantial bribes from liquor policy stakeholders by promising them undue benefits and this money was used during elections. Senior lawyer and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who is representing Kejriwal during the Punjab and Goa elections, argued against regular remand and also made suggestions criticizing the need for custody.

Kejriwal said in his statement on Friday that he was with his parents when ED officials came to his house to arrest him. Kejriwal told India Today that he was quite surprised by his quick arrest and had predicted that the ED would wait at least two to three days before taking action, but I was wrong. I had no idea or expectation about this at all. Was not there. I had never imagined how the ED would arrest me so soon.

I thought they would wait at least 2-3 days before arresting me. I didn’t even get a chance to seek blessings from my parents and tell them everything. Everything happened so fast that I didn’t understand what to do and what not to do. Before I could think about it, the ED officers took me away. India Today quoted Kejriwal as saying, before the arrival of ED, I was spending personal time with my parents. But now it remains to be seen what new turn takes in this case, whether he is able to face this case or gets trapped in this case, stay tuned to know.
