Rishabh Pant Sparks Frenzy at Delhi Capitals, Batter’s Explosive Form Lights Up Nets Ahead of IPL 2024

This year, Rishabh Pant, the Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter ready to come back to competitive cricket with Delhi Capitals(DC) during the Indian Premier League (IPL). On December 30, 2022, Pant suffered multiple injuries in a revolting car accident and missed the IPL 2023. Last year, Pant also missed the ICC Cricket World Cup. Delhi Capitals share a video on X (formerly Twitter) of pant batting in the nets. 

In this video, Pant was seen striking his trademark big hits, slog sweeps, reverse sweeps, etc. The caption of DC’s post is “ BattingHeaven.mp4.Rishabh Pant is here and you will be here too, watching this on loop.” 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) delivered a prime update on Rishabh Pant’s recovery from injury on Tuesday and said that the wicketkeeper batter has been confirmed fir to take part in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. 

Rishab Pant has represented DC since 2016 and scored 2,838 runs in 98 matches at an average of 34-.61 and a strike rate of over 147, with a century and 15 fifties to his name. 

On 22 March, the 12th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will start, at MA Chidambaram Stadium, between defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). 

Until April 7, the schedule has been announced as of now, with the remainder to be declared later because of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the dates for which are yet to be announced. 

At Vizag on March 31, Delhi Capitals will be playing their home fixtures and 2 April against CSK and Kolkata Knight Riders. On March 17 after hosting the Women’s Premier League final, Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium will not be available to host the matches for just days. 

Delhi Capitals’ other matches till 7 April include a 28 March match against the Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur and on 7 April, against the Mumbai Indians in Mumbai.
