Omicron Cases Rising May Reach A Tally Of 100 Soon!

The caseload of Covid-19 variant Omicron in India is increasing regularly. Tamil Nadu and West Bengal reported their first case to Omicron on Wednesday. Along with this, the overall variant cases in India have reached 73. Tally may reach 100 soon in India as the variant spreads swiftly mostly in Maharashtra with the maximum number of cases in the nation as per the report of the state.

Although people are ignoring it because of its mild nature, this may have touched most sectors and nations, but it is still unknown. As per the WHO, people who are not vaccinated are almost 10 times more at the hazard of death from COVID-19 than those who are vaccinated.

As per the report, the cases of Omicron in India are – In Maharashtra, 4 patients were affected by Omicron variant on Wednesday – 2 in Osmanabad and one from Buldhana and Mumbai. According to the Covid bulletin of Maharashtra, the case tally reached 32. Most cases of Omicron are reported from Mumbai with overall 13 infections. This is followed by Pimpri Chinchwad with 10 persons, Municipal corporation of Pune, and Osmanabad two each, and one each in Nagpur, Kalyan, Vasai Virar, Dombivali, Buldhana, and Latur. Of these, 25 cases are discharged after a negative report of RT PCR test, stated Maharashtra health department.

In Kerala, 4 more people are got affected by Omicron taking the overall cases to five. Hyderabad also becomes a victim of the Omicron as 3 cases were reported on Wednesday here. On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu reported one case of Omicron variant, informed Ma Subramanian, State Health Minister. West Bengal also recorded its first case of the variant with 7 years of age boy testing positive from Murshidabad district. Apart from this, new variant cases have also been reported in Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat, and Karnataka.
