New Delhi, India: The multi-sport para event, Khelo India’s second edition, is announced to be held this year from March 20 to 27. This week-long tournament will be hosted across three venues in India’s capital city, New Delhi. Before this multi-sport para event, Youth Affairs & Sports Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched its anthem at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on March 18.

Additionally, the Khelo India Para Games 2025 mascot, Ujjwala, which is inspired by the house sparrow, has been released by the Minister of State for Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse. This mascot symbolizes perseverance and dedication and reflects the fighting and vibrant spirit of this 7-day-long multi-sport event and the capital city, respectively. The logo of the second edition of the Khelo India Para Games was launched together by Paralympic Committee of India President Devendra Jhajharia and Svayam’s founder, Sminu Jindal.

On the launch of the Khelo India Para Games 2025 anthem, Mansukh Mandaviya said that the second edition of this multi-sport para event will witness the participation of 1,300 athletes, which is a great accomplishment for them. The major vision behind organizing the Para Games is to provide talented athletes the opportunities to grow. He added that there’s nothing like winning or losing in sports, and each participant in this event is a learner.

The launching of the Khelo India Para Games 2025 anthem was the concluding event for the first-ever Fit-India carnival, which was held from March 16 to 18. The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports revealed that 25,000 people participated in this carnival.

The logo of the second edition of the multi-sport event launched under the Indian government’s Khelo India initiative has been launched, which features a mascot as an athlete. The logo is stylish and the mascot appears in a blue, green, and orange jersey, representing enthusiasm and movement towards signifying progress. Additionally, strength is conveyed by the bold blue and white colors in this logo.

The bottom graphic in the logo features the three iconic landmarks of the capital city: the Delhi metro, Bharat Mandapam, and the parliament’s new building. In addition to this, graphics showing para-athletes in action along the riverside of pious Yamuna are also in the logo. The tagline for the second edition of Khelo India Para Games is Champions Beyond the Limits or Haunslon ki Udaan.

Khelo India Para Games 2025: Events & Competitions

KIPG 2025 will be held from March 20 to 27 across three venues in the capital city, New Delhi, and it will feature several competitions across six para-sports disciplines, including para-badminton, para-archery, para shooting, para-powerlifting, para-athletics, and para table tennis. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, and Indira Gandhi Stadium will witness 1300 para-athletes in action. Some elite athletes who will be in the spotlight at KIPG 2025 include gold-medalist para-archer Harvinder Singh and high-performing para-jumper Praveen Kumar. Followed by the Khelo India Winter Games that concluded in Gulmarg on March 12, the second edition of the KIPG will be 2025’s second national sporting event.
