Know More About Lockdown 4.0

We know very well that the current situation of the world is not good and it’s all because of the coronavirus pandemic. In India, the cases of coronavirus are increasing speedily. Every day around 3000 to 5000, cases detected all over the country, and the total active cases are around one lakh. So keeping this in mind, the government of India announced the Lockdown 4.0. This lockdown comes with many changes than before. In this round of lockdown, the government has allowed considerable relaxations. Not everything, but some of the essential things are open in this new phase of lockdown; however people should have to follow guidelines and precautions to stay safe. For this, everyone needs to know more about lockdown 4.0.

In an address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the lockdown 4.0 is going to be unique from the previous three phases of lockdown. So the home ministry issued the guidelines of lockdown 4.0. The home ministry permitted the restart of app-based can service, allowed the functioning of all shops, relive restriction on private offices that were previously permitted to function with 33% of staff, and except malls give permission to the functioning of markets. All the activities that were allowed throughout the lockdown 3.0 will continue to be permitted in the new lockdown 4.0.

Here are the details things you need to know more about lockdown 4.0:

1) All the zones, such as the red zone, green zone, orange zone, contaminated zone, and buffer zone, will be decided by the states as per the parameters of the ministry of health.

2) The movement of Inter-State passengers by buses and vehicles noticeable by the states and union territories.

3) The Metro rail services, colleges, schools, hotels, restaurants will also remain shut in  lockdown 4.0.

4) In the contaminated zones, only vital activities shall be permitted.

5) Markets can open, but the shopping malls, cinema halls, swimming pools, gymnasiums will not open. However, the stadiums and sports complexes will be allowed to open. Watchers will not be allowed.

6) The large number of gatherings, such as cultural, political, religious, will not be allowed.

7) All the religious places across the country will remain closed to the public. The religious parishioners are strictly restricted.

8) Pregnant women, elderly people over the age of 65, the people with any health diseases and the children below ten years of age to stay at home. But for essential and health purposes, they can go outside.

It is crucial to note that, all the above fresh guidelines or activities will not be permitted in containment zones. In Lockdown 4.0 only essential services permitted in containment zones.

List of guidelines to follow in Lockdown 4.0:

1) In all the public areas, it is mandatory to wear a mask.

2) Social distancing or physical distancing in compulsory in public areas such as the workplace, markets, functions like marriages and public transport, etc.

3) Not more than 50 guests permitted for marriage functions.

4) In public areas spitting will be punishable with fine according to the rules of the state or union territories and local authorities.

5) Not more than 20 people allowed in funeral and last rites.

6) Shops to ensure minimum 6 feet distance amid customers and inside the shop not permitted more than five customers at a time.

7) In public areas, the consumption of gutka, pan masala, liquor, tobacco is not permitted.

8) At all entry and exit points and common areas provision of thermal scanning, sanitizers and hand wash to be made.

9) The interference of any employee or officer of the central government or state government or any official personnel is punishable.

10) Circulating or making a false alarm or warning to as to disaster or its seriousness or magnitude, leading to panic, shall on belief be actionable with incarceration up to one year with a penalty.
